Real Life English 2

English for Real Life 2 is a general communicative English course at the pre-intermediate level. Designed to develop the learners' listening, speaking, reading and writing skills so that they can effectively communicate in today's world, the book applies current methodology appropriate for Asian learners of English. The activities, which move gradually from controlled to free practice, help them to express themselves in various settings confidently. Based on the authentic use of the English language, the contents of this book are systematically organized, explained, and practiced in a communicative, student-centered setting.

Each unit focuses on the functional and social language which learners need for daily life conversation, including a practical warm-up activity to stimulate them for the target lesson, language focus to guide them to use correct English though in informal situations, listening and pronunciation practice to build up their confidence in the following speaking drills, reading practice to familiarize themselves with basic writing expressions and useful vocabulary, which will prepare them for the last skill, writing. Key words and expressions with their meanings in Thai are listed at the end of each unit to help the learners understand the text. Furthermore, the book is accompanied with a CD-ROM/Audio CD with scripts and answer keys for listening and speaking activities and pronunciation practice
